Role Overview
The Shift Lead is responsible for overseeing the fill operation to ensure the sales floor is fully prepared and operational. This role includes managing resources to serve customers, selling products, and restocking shelves effectively. The Shift Lead also acts as the floor leader when the Colleague Manager is not present.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the fill operation ensuring timely preparation for store opening.
- Assign team members efficiently to optimize payment processes for customers.
- Implement daily operational tasks across assigned store areas punctually.
- Ensure the store environment is clean, safe, and visually appealing.
- Create and maintain an inclusive and positive team atmosphere.
- Demonstrate exemplary customer service and uphold company behaviours and expectations.
- Assist Colleague Managers by providing feedback on team performance and recognising outstanding colleagues.
- Provide operational support to nearby stores if required.
- Hold key responsibilities including responding to call outs, managing vehicle receipt, temperature checks, reporting operational issues, cash management, and compliance tasks during peripheral hours.
