Role Overview

The position of ServiceNow forward deployed AI engineer is a senior technical leadership role within Atos' Global ServiceNow Portfolio Organization, reporting directly to the CTO/Portfolio Lead. The role involves collaboration with global product leaders, architects, and engineering teams to lead innovation and drive technology strategy globally. It focuses on developing cutting-edge AI capabilities and creating proprietary intellectual property to strengthen Atos' market position in ServiceNow solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop solutions across ServiceNow platform modules and custom applications.
• Build intelligent workflows using Now Assist, GenAI Skills, AI Agents, AI Search Predictive Intelligence, Flow Designer, and Virtual Agent.
• Configure workflows, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, script includes, catalogs, and external integrations.
• Create AI-driven automation and conversational workflow solutions.
• Translate requirements into scalable and efficient technical solutions adhering to best practices and security standards.
• Perform unit testing, debugging, defect fixes, and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Engage in code reviews and contribute to governance standards.
• Support platform upgrades, enhancements, and release activities.
• Develop integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, MID Server, and connect with external enterprise systems.
• Facilitate workflow orchestration across multiple enterprise applications and participate in AI automation initiatives.
• Help create reusable integration frameworks and accelerate development cycles.

Required Experience and Skills

• Minimum 7 years of ServiceNow platform development experience encompassing intelligent workflow automation, enterprise integrations, CMDB/CSDM, and AI-enhanced ServiceNow functionalities.
• Proven expertise as a ServiceNow Developer in enterprise or consulting contexts.
• Strong proficiency with JavaScript Glide APIs, Flow Designer, Script Includes, Business Rules, Client Scripts, and UI Policies.
• Hands-on experience with at least two ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, HRSD, CSM, ITOM, Service Catalog, or Custom Applications.
• Familiarity with Now Assist, GenAI Skills, AI Agents / Agentic Workflows, AI Search Predictive Intelligence.
• Knowledge of A2A and MCP-based AI integration methods is advantageous.
• Understanding of scoped applications, update sets, CI/CD pipelines, and ServiceNow development best practices.
• Experienced with enterprise integrations and automation workflows.
• Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills with effective communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
• Participation in solution design workshops, technical discussions, deployment support, UAT, hypercare, and post-production stabilization.
• Additional beneficial skills include exposure to CRM workflows, cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure, low-code/no-code automation tools, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and knowledge of DevOps and release management processes.

The job is based in Chennai, with potential locations including Mumbai and Bangalore as well.
