Role Overview
We are looking for a practical, customer-oriented Service Technician to support service and maintenance work across the company’s product range. This role is based in Auckland and involves installation, repairs, emergency breakdown attendance, and related maintenance tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out installation, repair, and maintenance work on the AAES Doors range.
- Coordinate with customers and Service Coordinators on repair jobs, installations, and site-related concerns.
- Prepare and submit paperwork and job records accurately and on time.
- Keep tools and PPE in good condition, while following WHS requirements and company procedures.
- Be available for flexible work patterns, including callouts, overtime, and work outside standard hours.
- Log safety incidents, hazards, and risks in Donesafe, and take part in training sessions, audits, and meetings.
Requirements
- Background in building, carpentry, or a similar trade is preferred.
- Prior exposure to service work and/or installation work will be an advantage.
- Familiarity with the Wellington area is considered useful.
- A trade qualification or licence as an electrician or fitter and turner is preferred; controls experience would be an added advantage.
- Current EWP (Scissor Lift) and Forklift licences are preferred.
- A valid driver’s licence must be held and maintained.
- Willingness and ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, is required.
