Role Summary

This senior leadership role involves independently steering and overseeing the Strategy Development team within the Strategy and Business Development department. The position commands responsibility for managing a diverse portfolio of strategic projects at the group level, spanning regional, country-specific, and business unit strategies across the bank's international operations. The role also extends support for executive mandates, including high-profile interviews, board presentations, and public documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage comprehensive group-wide strategy projects domestically and internationally, ensuring alignment and execution.
• Develop and monitor key performance metrics for strategy initiatives, maintaining financial planning oversight.
• Provide analytical insight into factors impacting organizational profitability, growth, and productivity alongside senior executives.
• Implement best practices and KPIs for the Senior Vice President function in Strategy Development.
• Delegate authority appropriately, monitor compliance, and uphold organizational standards.
• Engage internal and external stakeholders, including senior business and country leaders, to synchronize strategy execution.
• Manage multiple strategy projects concurrently, guiding teams through all phases, from initiation to delivery.
• Oversee recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and motivation of team members to nurture high standards and adherence to corporate values.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives by leading cross-departmental collaboration and fostering innovative thinking.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge on banking regulations, industry trends, and strategic methodologies.
• Ensure full compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal policies related to risk management, conduct, and governance.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably a Master’s and an MBA from a prestigious academic institution.
• At least 15 years of professional experience with a minimum of 7 years dedicated to strategic development roles.
• Prior senior management experience in reputed strategy consulting firms such as McKinsey, BCG, Bain, or a similar leading financial services organization.
• Proven leadership capabilities, with a successful record managing strategy projects from concept through execution.
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills underpinned by practical business knowledge.
