Overview
Join as a Senior Software Engineer on a contractor basis (~15 hours weekly) focusing on creating advanced Reinforcement Learning Environments that facilitate the training of AI systems. This remote role does not require prior AI experience but leverages strong software engineering domain knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop Reinforcement Learning Environments that challenge AI models in problem-solving of complex software engineering tasks using Model Context Protocol (MCP) tools.
- Create reproducible environments, deterministic verification processes, and golden reference solutions to accurately evaluate MCP tool usage and software engineering skills.
- Engage in tasks such as bug fixes, feature implementation, code refactoring, and performance optimization.
Required Qualifications
- Expertise in one or more of the following programming languages: C++, Python, JAVA, GoLang, Typescript, or Rust.
- Strong grasp of algorithms, data structures, and experience with performance optimization.
- Proven capability in debugging intricate software issues and delivering maintainable code.
- Demonstrated experience in feature development and comprehensive codebase refactoring.
- Ability to enhance software performance and scalability.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Experience collaborating effectively in cross-functional and remote teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Involvement in large-scale distributed codebases.
- Some exposure to AI or machine learning systems (not mandatory).
- Active participation in rigorous code review processes and contributions to software development best practices.

Compensation and Work Details
