Senior Project Manager

Role overview

Kerr McGee Chemical is looking for a seasoned Senior Project Manager to steer complex initiatives from early planning to final handover. In this role, you will coordinate multiple workstreams, keep schedules and budgets under control, manage risks, and make sure each project is delivered on schedule, within scope, and in line with business goals.

What you will do

• Take ownership of planning, executing, tracking, and delivering several projects at once.
• Set the project scope, goals, timelines, budget limits, and staffing needs.
• Bring together internal teams and outside partners to keep work moving smoothly.
• Spot potential risks early, put mitigation steps in place, and work through issues before they escalate.
• Monitor progress and share regular updates with company leaders.
• Confirm that project outputs meet quality expectations and business needs.
• Handle project budgets, financial forecasts, and resource planning.
• Run project meetings, prepare presentations, and support stakeholder communication.
• Apply proven project management methods and drive continuous improvement.
• Keep project records current and ensure work follows company policies.

What we are looking for

• A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• At least 7 years of project management experience, including responsibility for complex initiatives.
• Practical knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid delivery approaches.
• Hands-on experience with tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Asana, Smartsheet, or comparable platforms.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
• Comfort managing several priorities in a demanding, fast-moving setting.

Preferred background

• PMP certification is preferred.
• Agile, Scrum, or SAFe certification is an advantage.
• An MBA or another relevant master's degree is a plus.
• Experience with enterprise-scale or technology-focused projects is beneficial.
