Byrne Mech is currently looking to hire an experienced Senior Production Planner to enhance their expanding manufacturing team based in Athenry, County Galway. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage detailed production schedules spanning multiple manufacturing cells via the company's ERP system.
  • Collaborate closely with departments such as Operations, Production, Purchasing, and Sales to align with customer requirements and delivery timelines.
  • Assist the Operations Leadership Team by evaluating capacity, identifying bottlenecks, and refining planning methodologies.
  • Lead initiatives to discover and implement system and process enhancements within the planning framework.
  • Regulate finished goods inventory levels, considering pack sizes and safety stock prerequisites.
  • Coordinate sales order delivery commitments, factoring in material availability and production capabilities.
  • Work hand-in-hand with Production teams executing short-term production schedules.
  • Continuously monitor and adjust production plans to uphold operational efficiency and address schedule deviations.

Required Experience and Skills

  • At least two years experience in production planning or scheduling roles, particularly in manufacturing contexts.
  • Proficient in ERP systems and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) processes.
  • Prior exposure to small to medium-sized manufacturing settings is advantageous.

  • Experience handling Non-Stock Items (NSI) is a plus.
