Senior Forecasting Analyst

About the Role

Flo Energy is seeking a Senior Forecasting Analyst to join their team in Singapore. This position focuses on advancing demand and price forecasting for the Singapore and Australian energy markets, key components that influence the company’s trading strategies and commercial initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Enhance and manage the demand forecasting models that predict both national grid and customer energy usage.
• Develop and optimize spot price forecasts, both short-term and long-term, supporting pricing and portfolio management decisions.
• Serve as a liaison with business teams by delivering insights and clarifications related to forecasting activities.
• Communicate any significant forecast impacts that could affect pricing operations or profit and loss projections.

Candidate Qualifications

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree from a technical university or an equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience working within the Energy or Financial Markets sectors.
• Proficiency in Python programming, using Jupyter notebooks and SQL, along with familiarity using version control systems such as Git.

Desirable Additional Skills

• Hands-on experience with trading in energy markets.
• Knowledge of machine learning modeling techniques.
• Exposure to Agile development methodologies.
