Position Overview

This role is offered through a partner company seeking a Senior Compliance Analyst located in the United States. The opportunity involves contributing to the enhancement and management of an established information security and compliance framework within a cloud-based technology environment.

Key Responsibilities

Assess IT General Controls (ITGCs), security controls, and compliance processes to verify alignment with applicable regulations, contracts, and organizational policies.
Collaborate with security, engineering, cloud operations, product, legal, and other internal teams to implement and sustain compliance controls in cloud-hosted systems.
Examine customer contracts and related compliance obligations concerning cybersecurity, privacy, AI, audit rights, and regulatory issues.
Facilitate customer and prospect due diligence by completing security questionnaires, performing compliance assessments, and addressing compliance information requests.
Support external audits and certifications including SOC 1, SOC 2, ISO 27001, FedRAMP, and other standards as applicable.
Perform compliance assessments, risk evaluations, and control examinations, identify gaps, and propose remediation measures to enhance the compliance framework.
Develop and update compliance policies, procedures, standards, and documentation to support ongoing program improvement.
Stay informed of changes in cybersecurity laws, cloud technologies, and industry best practices; provide insights and recommendations to promote program maturity.
Act as a trusted advisor on governance, risk, compliance, and information security throughout the organization.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of five years’ experience in IT audit, cybersecurity, information security, cloud compliance, risk management, regulatory compliance, or related fields.
In-depth understanding of ITGCs, cloud security principles, shared responsibility models, and cloud infrastructure.
Proven experience managing compliance initiatives and audits under frameworks such as SOC 1, SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, GDPR, or similar.
Experience interpreting customer contracts with respect to security, privacy, artificial intelligence, and compliance demands preferred.
Knowledge of SaaS platforms, cloud-native technologies, enterprise software, and Microsoft Azure is advantageous.
Professional certifications like CISA, CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CCSP, or equivalents are considered valuable.
Strong communication skills capable of conveying complex technical and compliance concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
Self-driven, flexible, cooperative, and adept at working both independently and collaboratively across organizational levels.
