Job description
Volta is the category-defining, fully vertically integrated AI infrastructure platform – from capital to clusters to software, under a founder-led enterprise. Our mission is The Utility of Compute™: AI infrastructure as dependable and available as electricity, for every organization that needs it. Launched with a $10B strategic partnership with one of the leading frontier AI labs, a Series A led by Andreessen Horowitz, and a $5B AI Infrastructure Fund, Volta is building the infrastructure layer of the AI era from the ground up. We are 100+ people across London, Palo Alto, and New York, with rapid growth expectations to hundreds.
About The Role
The Senior Associate, Corporate Development supports Volta's M&A, strategic partnerships, and corporate strategy work — the analysis and execution behind the deals and initiatives that shape where the company goes next. Working closely with senior leadership, you will help evaluate opportunities, build the financial and strategic case for them, and support execution through to close.
This is a high-exposure role for someone who wants to work directly on the strategic decisions defining a fast-scaling AI infrastructure company, with direct visibility to founders and executive leadership.
What You Will Be Doing
Support evaluation of M&A, investment, and strategic partnership opportunities
Build financial models, valuation analysis, and business cases to support decision-making
Conduct market, competitor, and industry research to inform corporate strategy
Support due diligence processes across financial, commercial, and operational workstreams
Prepare materials and analysis for executive and board-level discussions
Coordinate with legal, finance, and other internal teams through deal execution
Track and report on the pipeline of strategic opportunities under evaluation
Support post-close integration planning where relevant
What You Bring
Experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, or strategy consulting is essential
Strong financial modeling and valuation skills
Excellent analytical ability, able to structure and solve ambiguous strategic problems
Comfortable working directly with senior leadership on high-stakes, confidential work
Strong written and verbal communication, including executive-level materials
Self-directed and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple workstreams under time pressure
