Security Manager

Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Security Manager to oversee and enhance security operations on our project in Qatar, primarily within the oil and gas sector. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing security functions in large-scale projects.

Key Duties

• Create and execute customized security strategies tailored to the project site.
• Conduct routine evaluations of risks including theft, sabotage, and emergencies.
• Develop thorough emergency and contingency protocols.
• Manage systems controlling access and visitor entry.
• Supervise CCTV operations, secure perimeter surveillance, and control points of ingress and egress.
• Ensure continuous staffing and operation of security screening points.
• Comply with applicable local regulations, company directives, and international security standards.
• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation for auditing and inspection purposes.
• Implement ongoing improvements to security systems and workflows.
• Deliver security awareness education to staff and contractors and conduct briefings on high-risk areas.
• Work closely with Health, Safety, and Environmental teams to ensure integrated safety practices.
• Respond swiftly to security incidents and emergencies, carrying out investigations and compiling comprehensive reports.
• Suggest corrective actions to avoid recurrence of security issues.
• Engage with law enforcement, emergency responders, and government bodies as needed.
• Collaborate with project management, HR, and IT departments for cohesive security arrangements.
• Support contractual negotiations related to safeguarding people and company assets.
• Protect equipment, facilities, materials, and other organizational resources by advising and implementing enhanced security measures.
• Monitor logistical operations and transportation to ensure secure handling and delivery of materials.

Qualifications and Experience

• University degree related to occupational roles in the oil and gas industry.
• At least 10 years' experience in security management, ideally within oil and gas or construction sectors.
• Comprehensive knowledge of local and global security regulations.
• Strong leadership qualities combined with excellent crisis management capabilities.

Skills Required
