Scrum Master (Remote)

About the Role

Pinnacle Method Consulting seeks an experienced Agile Coach to join our respected client's team as a Scrum Master practicing SAFe Agile methodologies. This role involves guiding an Agile team by promoting Agile principles, facilitating crucial team events, and removing barriers to progress. The Scrum Master contributes to cross-team collaboration and supports synchronized work during Program Increment (PI) planning among multiple teams, ensuring alignment with overarching program goals. Additionally, the role includes supporting the Agile Release Train (ART) to unify multiple teams toward a common objective and collaborating with a cohort of Agile Coaches to develop tailored models for new and existing teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a servant leader and coach for the Agile team, ensuring adherence to Agile principles and facilitating daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Coordinate cross-team dependencies and participate in broader Program Increment planning events.
• Drive enterprise-wide adoption of business agility frameworks by training teams on Agile-Lean practices.
• Provide coaching, feedback, and training to elevate team maturity and organizational agility.
• Collaborate with Agile coaches, trainers, and Communities of Practice (CoP) and Centers of Excellence (CoE) to foster continuous process improvements.
• Develop tools and initiatives aimed at minimizing waste and enhancing efficiency.
• Maintain a consultative mindset to guide teams effectively while exploring new possibilities through intellectual curiosity.
• Define team vision, goals, scope, KPIs, and product domains to provide clear direction.

Skill Requirements

• Proven experience and certification as a SAFe Scrum Master or a Certified Scrum Master (CSM), with preference for SAFe certification.
• Strong business understanding combined with advanced knowledge of software development lifecycles and Agile methodologies.
• Experienced with Lean-Agile tools and practices such as Azure DevOps or Jira (Azure DevOps preferred but not mandatory).
• Demonstrated ability to implement Agile at scale, coaching teams and leading organizational cultural transformation (familiarity with SAFe or LeSS frameworks).
• Experience with Agile or Lean frameworks, including Scrum, Kanban, Lean, Lean Six Sigma, and Extreme Programming.
• Previous involvement in Product Ownership roles or extensive Scrum Master experience.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or an additional four years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Between 3 to 5 years working as an Agile Coach actively involved in Agile transformations.
• At least 8 years of hands-on experience on Agile teams.
• Experience supporting Agile teams within the Healthcare industry.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to influence stakeholders and present effectively.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and facilitate productive discussions to reach optimal solutions.
• Leadership qualities demonstrated by imagination, courage, and a spirit of curiosity.
• At least 3 years working with Agile management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.

• This is a fully remote position based in the United States.
• Employment via W2 contract is required.
