Job description

About Haier Group and Role Overview

Haier Group stands as a global frontrunner in IoT ecosystem solutions, with its subsidiary Haier Smart Home recognized as the top major appliance brand worldwide. As part of the Group's evolving global strategy, digital transformation in human resources is pivotal. The Overseas HR Shared Services Centre (SSC) is driving forward the deployment and enhancement of SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP), focusing especially on the Time Tracking module to guarantee precise time data gathering, attendance oversight, and smooth payroll integration.

This role based in Singapore seeks an SAP ECP Payroll Consultant with a specialization in Time Tracking to lead configuration, testing, and ongoing optimization of time management processes within the ECP platform.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Take charge of comprehensive configuration of SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) Time Tracking module including setting time recording rules, organizing work schedules, managing attendance and absence categories, time valuation, and ensuring integration with payroll processes.
  • Develop and manage time data collection workflows such as clock-in/out recording, manual entries, approval procedures, and exception handling, adhering to local labor laws and collective agreements.
  • Maintain configurations for Time Management Valuation Rules, processing rules for daily and periodic timeframes, and generation of time wage types to ensure accurate payroll outputs.
  • Work collaboratively with HR, Payroll, and IT teams to interpret business needs into precise configuration solutions that are feasible and maintainable.
  • Execute thorough testing phases including unit, integration, and user acceptance testing for Time Tracking setups; prepare detailed test documentation and outcomes.
  • Design and implement integrations between Time Tracking and other SAP SuccessFactors modules (like Employee Central, Payroll, Time Off) and external time collection systems through APIs and middleware solutions.
  • Identify and troubleshoot operational issues related to Time Tracking, conduct root cause analyses, and apply corrective configuration modifications.
  • Develop and update comprehensive documentation such as configuration guides, user manuals, and knowledge base articles, and conduct training sessions for HR administrators and end users.
  • Support payroll processes by validating the accuracy of time data, participating in parallel payroll runs, and resolving discrepancies linked to time input.
  • Keep abreast of latest SAP SuccessFactors ECP updates, assess new Time Tracking capabilities, and propose enhancements to improve system effectiveness and business results.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

  • Possession of a bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Human Resources, Business Administration, or relevant fields.
  • More than three years of practical experience configuring SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP) with strong emphasis on the Time Tracking/Management module.
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP ECP Time Management areas, including work schedules, rules for daily and periodic processing, time recording mechanisms, attendance/absence setups, time valuation, and wage type assignments.
  • Demonstrated history of tailoring country-specific time valuation policies and linking time data with payroll in various geographic regions.
  • Familiarity with integration across SAP SuccessFactors modules (Employee Central, Payroll, Time Off) and advantage in SAP Cloud Platform Integration or middleware usage.
  • Experience in handling time data from external devices and platforms such as workforce management systems, biometric scanners, and third-party attendance software is beneficial.
  • Strong understanding of payroll principles and the role of time data in wage calculation and payroll output.
  • Excellent analytical capabilities with the ability to independently diagnose configuration issues and implement durable solutions.
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills to effectively connect business stakeholders (HR/Payroll) with IT technical teams, translating needs into technical configurations.
  • Fluency in English and Chinese (both written and verbal), capable of functioning autonomously within a bilingual work environment.
  • Previous experience with multinational corporations or international teams is desirable; knowledge of Southeast Asian labor legislation and time management compliance is a plus.
