Role Overview
We are seeking a clinically oriented Upper Extremities Clinical Support Representative to serve surgeons, theatre teams, and healthcare professionals primarily in Auckland and the upper North Island. This position suits individuals who excel in operating theatre settings, value being a trusted clinical partner, and are dedicated to delivering superior patient-centered support.
Candidates may have a strong background in orthopedic or medical device clinical support or be allied health professionals, such as physiotherapists, with in-depth knowledge of upper limb anatomy looking to enter the medical device field.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with sales goals by delivering expert clinical services, advice, and case assistance to customers.
- Establish and nurture productive professional relationships with surgeons, registrars, nurse managers, theatre staff, and sterile services teams.
- Ensure correct Zimmer Biomet products are appropriately utilized for patients by facilitating product availability.
- Engage nursing and surgical staff through lead generation, case management, and detailed product training sessions.
- Oversee the timely return and tracking of surgical instruments after procedures.
- Create and update surgeon-specific surgical techniques and workflow guidelines.
- Provide case support beyond assigned territories when necessary.
- Support the Sales team in implementing sales strategies and achieving annual targets.
Qualifications and Skills
- Degree in Health, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Science, Business, Marketing, or related fields.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust and influence healthcare professionals.
- Capacity to develop technical proficiency in assigned product ranges.
- Strong organizational abilities and effective time management skills.
- Aptitude for quickly grasping and retaining complex clinical and technical knowledge.
- A proactive, positive, and solution-oriented attitude.
- Experience in operating theatre environments, knowledge of medical devices or orthopedics, and prior sales or clinical support exposure are advantageous.
Travel Requirements
- Frequent travel within the designated territory, up to 90% of the time.
- Occasional travel outside the primary territory or overseas when required.
