Job description
Role Overview
As a Sales Officer, your primary responsibility will be meeting and exceeding sales targets by effectively managing territories and client relationships, ensuring product visibility and availability at points of sale in alignment with corporate strategies.
Key Duties
- Strive to achieve defined sales goals.
- Conduct visits to points of sale to confirm product availability, appropriate placement, visible pricing, and correct advertising material display.
- Place orders in adequate quantity and assortment to maintain targeted product visibility and stock levels.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for business growth.
- Promote sales through client communication on catalogs, placement optimization, promotions, and innovative sales methods.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with customer representatives in the field.
- Communicate initiatives and activities to stores for effective implementation.
- Involve clients in category management discussions and improvement efforts.
- Report on store activity progress.
- Execute merchandising activities as planned.
- Send regular reports on trade field activity performance and sales outcomes, including adherence to sales agreements and retail pricing trends.
- Set and monitor key performance indicators such as point of sale quality and customer quality metrics.
- Collaborate closely with Field/Regional Managers, Category Management, and Merchandisers.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in field sales.
- Experience in the FMCG sector is desirable.
- Fluency in English and Telugu languages.
- Proven record of meeting sales targets.
- Proficiency in commercial and office software applications such as Excel and PowerPoint.
- Valid driving license.
