Position Overview
We are seeking a Sales Analyst to join the New Zealand Sales team located in Christchurch. This permanent role offers a hybrid working arrangement with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote, within a collaborative and dynamic work environment fostering career growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update financial models tied to accounting cycles including revenue recognition and sensitivity analyses.
- Create and manage Power BI reports and dashboards covering sales, margins, supply chain, and digital metrics.
- Convert manual Excel reports into automated, scalable Power BI solutions with clear metric documentation and quality controls.
- Analyze large sets of transactional data to optimize pricing, revenue, and costs while spotting trends and risks.
- Map cost procedures to ensure margin and profitability transparency across customers and channels.
- Build ROI models, business cases, and commercial proposals supporting investment decisions related to trade spend and marketing.
- Gather and document stakeholder requirements and collaborate with Finance and Technology teams to deliver analytics solutions.
- Continuously improve reporting tools and governance processes including KPI tracking, data quality management, and redundancy elimination.
- Lead business improvement projects using internal tools to streamline processes and accelerate decisions.
- Support the South Island Account and Field teams in developing sales and account management skills for future growth.
- Comply with all Kraft Heinz policies on food safety, environmental health, safety, ethics, and HR.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 3 years as a Business or Commercial Analyst in complex sales and finance environments.
- Experience in FMCG or retail sectors preferred.
- A relevant degree in Data, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Strong ability to elicit and translate technical and business requirements.
- Proven commercial insight with skills in business case development and trade spend analysis.
- Advanced expertise in financial modeling and high-volume data analytics.
- Proficient with advanced Excel, Power BI, SQL, and familiar with ERP (SAP) and CRM (Salesforce) systems.
- Excellent at managing stakeholders and communicating with suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
- Aspirations to progress into sales and account management roles medium to long term.
- Logical and structured problem-solving skills with a readiness to challenge existing practices constructively.
