Role Responsibilities
- Assist the Safety Manager in managing safety programs and keeping related documentation up to date.
- Carry out risk evaluations and aid in applying effective mitigation strategies.
- Oversee the processes for logging safety occurrences and ensure timely and proper follow-up.
- Lead or assist in investigations of safety incidents and compile detailed reports.
- Conduct internal safety audits to assess adherence to defined safety standards.
- Monitor the progress of corrective measures and confirm their successful completion.
- Help prepare routine reports tracking safety performance alongside relevant data analyses.
- Participate in initiatives aimed at enhancing safety awareness and fostering a robust safety culture within the organization.
Required Background and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Aerospace Engineering, Safety Management, or a closely related discipline.
- Demonstrable hands-on experience working in aviation settings with Safety Management Systems.
- Proven track record in conducting occurrence investigations and performing root cause analyses.
- Familiarity with methodologies for risk assessment and their practical employment.
- Experience in carrying out internal audits and monitoring compliance with safety regulations.
- Knowledgeable about EASA regulations governing Safety Management Systems.
- Preferably acquainted with regulations and operations of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS).
- Effective oral and written communication skills in English.
Additional Information and Benefits
- This is a permanent full-time position with a 40-hour workweek.
- The salary range offered is between €70,000 and €90,000 annually.
