Overview

The Rolling Stock Supervisor will assist the RST Manager by prioritizing work based on operational and safety needs, aligned with business objectives. This role involves supporting maintenance teams in troubleshooting intricate problems, ensuring that asset maintenance complies with quality standards. The position is committed to maintaining asset safety, reliability, and compliance throughout their lifecycle by collaborating with cross-functional teams and adhering strictly to safety and quality protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee maintenance, planning, and asset strategy focused on predictive and condition-based maintenance for rolling stock systems.
  • Manage the execution of maintenance and repair tasks following the maintenance schedules and manuals.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards during all maintenance activities.
  • Participate in recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of team members while supporting continuous development initiatives.
  • Assist management with Root Cause Analysis and Incident Reporting related to faults, failures, or incidents.
  • Contribute to the preparation, review, and approval of maintenance documentation, design drawings, and other technical documents.
  • Supervise complex maintenance operations performed by internal teams or subcontractors.
  • Promote team safety by enforcing safety procedures, proper tool usage, and conducting safety briefings and toolbox talks.
  • Support maintenance teams in troubleshooting complex issues and verify compliance through review of CMMS logs.
  • Review and ensure thoroughness of change management practices to prevent operational disruptions.
  • Act as the deputy to the RST Manager or Head of Transit Systems, assisting with various tasks as required.
  • Support procurement activities by providing technical evaluations for RFQs, developing Bills of Materials, inputting in tenders, clarifying technical matters, and exploring alternative equipment vendors to enhance localization, quality, and cost efficiency in Saudi Arabia.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of a Technical Diploma; Engineering degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma methodologies is desirable.
  • A minimum of five years' industry experience in rail, aviation, or transportation systems.
  • At least three years' demonstrated supervisory experience.
  • Proven involvement in creating Bills of Materials, procurement processes, competitive tendering, and providing technical clarifications.
  • Experience conducting Root Cause Analysis and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships and influence stakeholders at various organizational levels.
  • Capability to provide insightful input to senior management.
  • Expertise in forecasting asset failures and proposing solutions to prolong asset lifecycle.
