Risk Officer

About the Role

A reputable Community Bank located in the Ashanti Region of Ghana is looking to hire an experienced Risk Officer. This full-time position is essential to strengthening the bank's operations, growth, risk management framework, technology infrastructure, and enhancing customer service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive risk assessments and control evaluations.
• Track key risk indicators and compile detailed risk reports.
• Assist in monitoring the loan portfolio and deploying early warning systems.
• Ensure the bank complies with all relevant regulatory standards and internal policies.
• Investigate risk-related incidents and suggest effective corrective measures.
• Contribute to risk awareness training initiatives within the organization.
• Collaborate with auditors and regulatory authorities as necessary.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possess a bachelor's degree in Financial Risk Management, Banking & Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Holding professional certifications such as ACCA, ICA, or CIB is favorable.
• Demonstrated practical expertise in credit and operational risk management.
• At least three years of experience specializing in risk management, compliance, or audit functions.
