Job description
About the Role
The Risk Manager will report directly to the Project Director and hold responsibility for the creation, application, and oversight of the program risk management strategy.
Project Overview
This is a significant infrastructure initiative centered on a mixed-use development designed to become a globally recognized landmark and authentic destination in Riyadh. The development is intended as a unique, self-sufficient community featuring several iconic assets. The company will offer Project Management Consultancy services covering project planning, controls, design and engineering oversight, alongside the execution of development and initial work packages.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulating standards, policies, and procedures for risk management.
- Creating and overseeing the program's comprehensive risk management plan.
- Collaborating closely with program management teams, consultants, and contractors regarding all facets of risk.
- Organizing and leading risk management workshops.
- Maintaining and evaluating the risk register.
- Facilitating the formulation, execution, and monitoring of mitigation strategies.
- Delivering detailed reports on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Preparing and delivering formal presentations.
Experience and Qualifications
- BSc degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or an equivalent field.
- A minimum of 15 years of total relevant professional experience.
- At least 10 years of experience specifically in related project roles.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in the region.
- Possession of professional memberships or charterships such as MIRM or its equivalent.
- Deep expertise in risk management methodologies.
- Solid understanding of engineering and commercial components related to major civil infrastructure projects.
- Proven capability to identify, assess, and suggest actions to mitigate risks effectively.
- Proficient use of MS Office suite and risk management software.
- Strong skills in writing detailed reports.
- Fluent command of English, both spoken and written.
