Role Overview
The Pack Price Manager is accountable for developing and governing Saudi Arabia’s Pack Price Architecture (PPA) to stimulate profitable growth. The role ensures pricing and trade spend strategies are tailored to channels, trade, and consumers while maintaining financial rigor.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement PPA covering DTS, SSV, Wholesale and Distributor channels, representing about 80% of Saudi business.
- Craft a 3-year pricing roadmap and annual operating plans detailing brand, packaging, and channel pricing actions, timelines, and financial impacts.
- Lead the Pricing Council to present data-driven pricing recommendations, monitor market performance, and coordinate stakeholder alignment.
- Embed PPA into Perfect Store segmentation to align channel and occasion strategies from design through execution.
- Facilitate cross-functional groups across Sales, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, and Category to translate concepts into market initiatives, track results, and adjust strategies as needed.
- Drive SKU rationalization and portfolio simplification to enhance focus, reduce supply chain complexity, and harmonize operations across Middle East markets.
- Champion mix-for-growth initiatives by setting mix targets, optimizing key SKUs, and exploring new opportunities.
- Manage and oversee trade spend governance ensuring compliance, return on investment, and budget discipline.
- Employ global pricing tools such as P3, PEA, Revolution, and North Star to model elasticity, simulate competitor effects, and optimize ROI.
- Provide senior leadership with analytical insights, decision support, and highlight risk factors and growth possibilities.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Marketing; MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 6 years FMCG experience, including at least 2 years in revenue management or pricing roles.
- Proficiency in developing pricing architecture and trade spend oversight.
- Expertise in financial modeling, elasticity analysis, and investment return optimization.
- Knowledge of pricing tools including PEA, P3, Revolution, and North Star.
- Strong strategic and analytical capability with executive presence and leadership in cross-functional teams.
- Effective stakeholder influence and management skills balancing short- and long-term considerations.
