Role Overview

Proact Security Group is hiring Retail Security Officers for its Cambridge retail division. The role is focused on safeguarding well-known brands against stock loss while also helping keep retail staff safe. Both experienced professionals and entry-level applicants are welcome.

Employment Details

This is a permanent, full-time position based onsite in Cambridge, England, United Kingdom. The working pattern is Thursday and Friday from 12:00 to 20:00, Saturday from 11:00 to 19:00, and Sunday from 11:00 to 17:00. The salary is described as competitive.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with store management to support loss-prevention goals.
• Maintain a consistently professional approach and strong customer service standards.
• Identify and stop shoplifting activity while helping protect store employees.
• Write incident and case reports detailing theft-related events.
• Build and maintain good working relationships with mall security teams and local police.
• Carry out company security procedures that are intended to reduce store shrinkage.
• Deliver training to store staff when needed.

Requirements

• Strong ability to build productive working relationships.
• Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Confidence in dealing with customers and delivering excellent service.
• Ability to stay composed and resilient in difficult situations.
• Must have the legal right to work in the UK.
• A valid SIA licence appropriate to the role is required.
• Previous security experience and knowledge of ASCONE are preferred, but not mandatory.
