Role Overview

As a Retail Loss Prevention Officer, you will be a vital member of the BESTSECRET team, dedicated to ensuring a safe and secure environment at our retail locations. Through vigilance, professional demeanor, and strong sense of responsibility, you actively help prevent losses and maintain store safety. Your acute observational skills and analytical mindset allow you to identify potential risks early, support incident investigations, and contribute to optimizing security processes. You consistently act with professionalism, confidence, and a solution-oriented approach.

Working Hours

Your schedule will align with store opening hours, typically comprising a 40-hour workweek spread over five weekdays. Only weekdays are included in the working days.

Primary Responsibilities

• Implement company strategies focused on crime prevention and minimizing inventory discrepancies by identifying and analyzing loss potential
• Conduct observation and covert surveillance of customers and staff on the sales floor and analyze video monitoring systems
• Investigate and prevent internal and external thefts; promptly intervene when suspicion arises, including conducting preliminary arrests
• Maintain detailed incident documentation, prepare reports, and cooperate with law enforcement agencies
• Manage security-related systems and their data, supporting the enhancement of security procedures and workflows
• Deliver training and raise awareness regarding loss prevention and shrinkage; strengthen the security culture within store environments
• Deter potential offenders through professional and strategic presence

Candidate Qualifications

• Highly self-motivated, resilient, and strong communication skills
• Mandatory experience as a detective; prior retail or security environment experience is an advantage
• Dependable, systematic, and responsible working style with keen attention and observation capabilities
• Well-developed intuition and psychological insight into suspicious or unusual behavior
• Firmness combined with a calm, de-escalating, and confident demeanor
• Discretion, intercultural competence, trustworthiness, and a professional appearance
• Fluency in German is essential; additional languages are beneficial
• Sound knowledge of legal frameworks and competent handling of relevant systems
