About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our friendly and supportive Endoscopy team at Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust on a part-time permanent basis. Our department boasts a newly established £5 million Endoscopy Suite along with a specialized training facility. Educational courses, including gastrointestinal (GI) modules, are provided onsite in partnership with the University of Plymouth. Applicants who are newly qualified nurses are encouraged to apply.
The role offers opportunities to work across various service areas, allowing for a broad experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Join our multidisciplinary team to deliver and develop patient care programs that maintain high standards and respect for patient privacy and dignity at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Be accountable for the nursing care given to assigned patients from their admission through to discharge.
- Assist in the care, maintenance, and correct use of endoscopes during both endoscopic and non-endoscopic procedures.
- Provide technical support throughout procedures.
- Take part in coordinating the Endoscopy Unit on a regular basis.
