Job Overview
We are looking for a proactive and seasoned professional to join our team as the Regional Security Manager based in Gauteng. This role entails overseeing the Security Department operations in Gauteng and providing comprehensive security services across the Group.
Key Responsibilities
- Protect assets and mitigate risks by preventing theft and fraud; conduct regular audits and develop robust risk management frameworks.
- Manage security operations ensuring adherence to protocols across Gauteng and Mpumalanga, including oversight of security contractors.
- Respond swiftly to security incidents and emergencies, conducting thorough investigations and compiling detailed incident reports.
- Stay updated with emerging security technologies to effectively reduce risks; regularly inspect and maintain security systems and equipment.
- Oversee the budgeting and expenditure related to security, ensuring cost-efficient security solutions are implemented.
- Engage with stakeholders like SAPS, security firms, and company management, providing ongoing updates on security matters.
- Administer all security-related documentation and ensure regulatory compliance, including maintaining current Second-Hand Goods licenses prominently.
Qualifications and Experience
- Must hold a PSIRA Grade A registration.
- At least six years of senior managerial experience in security.
- Tertiary education in security management or a related field.
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable personal transport.
- Preferred experience in industrial, manufacturing, or logistics sectors.
- Skilled in risk assessment, CCTV surveillance, investigation processes, and report drafting.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledgeable about the Second-Hand Goods Act 6 of 2009 and related laws.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
