Regional Manager - Southeast US

Overview

MPS Group, Inc. seeks an experienced Regional Manager to oversee and guide operations across the US Southeast Region. The role demands leadership in driving operational excellence, financial oversight, employee development, client satisfaction, and strategic business expansion across multiple sites within the environmental and industrial services sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage regional projects ensuring safe, efficient, and profitable completion of environmental and industrial service contracts.
• Develop budgets, analyze performance metrics, and implement corrective measures as necessary.
• Maintain responsibility for financial outcomes and profitability of assigned units.
• Maintain cohesion and alignment between contracts, purchase orders, operational budgets, volume reports, and compliance standards.
• Act as the main liaison for customer interactions within the region, fostering strong, proactive working relationships.
• Conduct project site walkthroughs and collaborate internally to ensure quality service delivery.
• Prepare and present proposals, plans, and service recommendations to both prospective and current clients.
• Identify and pursue opportunities for operational growth and business development.
• Lead in managing employee performance, compensation suggestions, relations, and disciplinary proceedings.
• Promote a workplace culture focused on safety, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure open communication with employees, subcontractors, customers, and leadership regarding project progress and needs.
• Enforce compliance with all relevant company, customer, and regulatory safety requirements.
• Oversee asset management including equipment, facilities, and site resources within the region.
• Ensure adherence to environmental guidelines and industry standards.
• Commit to travel up to 50% within the region to meet customer and operational demands.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or related discipline.
• At least five years managing operations within environmental services, industrial services, hazardous or solid waste sectors.
• Experience in multi-project leadership and operational oversight.
• Strong budgeting, financial analytics, and performance management skills.
• Excellent customer service aptitude and communication abilities.
• Competent in Microsoft Office applications.
• Possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to pass background checks and drug screens successfully.

Preferred Experience

• Seven or more years in related environmental or industrial operations.
• Background in hazardous waste, solid waste management, remediation, or industrial cleaning.
• Certifications including 40-Hour HAZWOPER with Annual Refresher, RCRA, and DOT certifications.
• Certifications may be provided after hiring for suitable candidates.
