Regional Business Executive - HPCL Drive Track Plus Program

About the Role and Company

The Regional Business Executive will work on a contractual basis under Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL), a government-owned oil and gas firm, through Tristar Management Services Pvt Ltd for a period of three years, with a probation period of four months. The role is based in Wanaparthy, Andhra Pradesh, India, focused on expanding and managing the HPCL Drive Track Plus fuel card program, which provides a prepaid, cashless fuel purchasing solution for commercial vehicle operators.

Job Responsibilities

• Engage potential new customers in the transportation and automotive sectors to promote and sell the HPCL fleet card program.
• Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing customers enrolled in the fleet card program to maximize business growth.
• Perform customer visits approximately 80% of the time and outlet visits 20%, enhancing customer satisfaction and sales volume.
• Train retail outlet personnel in operating the Drive Track Plus terminal (POS) and related programs.
• Participate in seasonal campaigns and collaborate with customers to achieve promotional targets.
• Coordinate with third-party service providers offering services like insurance and telematics to assure comprehensive customer benefits.
• Submit daily reports to HPCL or designated personnel via mobile applications or alternative methods prescribed by HPCL.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum educational qualification: Graduation.
• At least 3 years of experience in sales and marketing, preferably in sectors related to transportation, bulk vehicle operations, or automotive industries.

Compensation and Benefits

• Monthly gross salary of ₹28,296, with a net in-hand salary of ₹24,796.
• Mediclaim insurance covering ₹5 lakh for the employee and three dependents, plus a ₹20 lakh life insurance policy.
• Reimbursement of up to ₹600 per month for fixed telephone charges.
• Daily conveyance allowance of ₹70 for postings in classified Z Class, Area C, or Zone III locations.
• Night-halt allowances for overnight travel beyond 100-150 km, subject to managerial approval.

Additional Information

The Drive Track Plus card functions much like a debit or prepaid card, allowing cashless fuel purchases exclusively at HPCL outlets across 15,000 fuel stations, including diesel pumps. Target customers include fleet owners such as travel agencies and commercial vehicle operators. The program ensures security and 24/7 support while offering tiered discounts based on purchase volume.

Building rapport with customers, petrol pump dealers, and company seniors is critical for success. The position requires proactive communication, frequent customer visits, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
