About the Role
Join a supportive health service team in Oakey to design and lead engaging recreational and social programs aimed at enriching the lives of older adults. Your creativity and compassion will play a vital role in helping residents maintain confidence, engagement, and a sense of community.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct activities that support social, emotional, and physical wellbeing.
- Customize programs to accommodate individual interests, abilities, and personal objectives.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, their families, volunteers, and community organizations.
- Foster an inclusive and welcoming atmosphere where everyone feels valued.
- Contribute innovative ideas to improve resident experiences and community engagement.
Candidate Profile
Ideal candidates are passionate about making a genuine difference through interpersonal connections. You demonstrate warmth, creativity, and energy while prioritizing respect, dignity, and person-centered care. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential, as is a current driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
- Experience in delivering lifestyle, wellbeing, or recreational activities.
- Ability to adapt activities for diverse participants, including those with cognitive impairments.
- Qualifications in diversional therapy, lifestyle services, or related disciplines are advantageous.
- Experience in aged care is desirable.
