Role Overview
The Quantity Surveyor and Estimator is responsible for managing project submittals by reviewing, preparing, and processing all documents in adherence to project specifications and timelines. This position requires excellent organizational skills to efficiently track multiple projects, coordinating information across various platforms such as email, Teams, documentation, and Procore.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage submittal processes ensuring compliance with project requirements and deadlines.
- Maintain systematic organization of project data, tracking updates and changes across diverse formats.
- Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and clients to monitor and expedite submittal approvals.
- Communicate complex challenges and solutions effectively through verbal, written, and visual formats including drawings and presentations.
- Ensure precise documentation and promptly identify and address discrepancies.
- Keep comprehensive records of submittals and generate consistent progress reports utilizing Excel.
- Apply analytical skills to investigate issues, resolve inconsistencies, and suggest practical solutions, demonstrating initiative in problem-solving and information research.
- Conduct quality assurance by verifying that all submittals conform to contract specifications and project design standards.
