Quality Specialist & Business Intelligence - Meat, Seafood, Produce (Dubai)

Job Overview

Join the pioneering Amazon Ultra-Fast-Grocery (UFG) team in the MENA region, focusing on reshaping customer experiences in grocery shopping. This role is pivotal in launching and scaling new business activities tied to maintaining top-tier quality in Meat, Seafood, Produce, and other Perishables.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate quality of inbound Meat, Seafood, Fruits, Vegetables, Eggs, and perishables at Amazon stores, hubs, and vendor locations.
• Return defective or damaged goods to suppliers, maintaining detailed records by item and vendor.
• Conduct audits on picking and packing processes executed by LPC associates, ensuring compliance with packaging standards.
• Perform regular inspections on storage bins and deliver reports daily or weekly to relevant stakeholders.
• Provide training to store and hub staff on quality standards, SOPs, and packaging practices.
• Support process improvement initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction, boost procurement efficiency, and minimize spoilage or damage.
• Collaborate closely with instock managers, vendor managers, store operations managers, and fulfillment partners to meet quality benchmarks.
• Flexible to work weekends as needed without exceeding a 40-hour workweek.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Sound knowledge of food safety standards including HACCP, ISO 22000, GMP, and quality specifications for fruits and vegetables.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Preferred experience includes multitasking in dynamic environments and engaging with senior management and customers.
