Role Overview
We are seeking a Purchase Executive in Chennai to manage vendor sourcing, buying activities, and procurement coordination for products or raw materials. The role focuses on getting the right supplies at the right price, ensuring timely delivery, and supporting smooth inventory flow and cost control.
Key Responsibilities
- Find, assess, and onboard suitable suppliers, vendors, and manufacturers for products or raw materials.
- Discuss pricing, payment arrangements, and delivery timelines with vendors to secure favorable terms.
- Review multiple quotations and choose suppliers based on quality, price competitiveness, and dependability.
- Create purchase orders and monitor order progress until goods are delivered on time.
- Work closely with the warehouse and inventory team to review stock availability and identify reorder needs.
- Build and maintain strong vendor partnerships while handling supply issues such as delays, quality concerns, and product returns.
- Study the market to spot popular products, new supplier options, and current pricing standards.
- Keep procurement documentation accurate, including purchase orders, invoices, and vendor agreements.
- Verify quality and compliance of sourced materials before they are added to the catalog.
- Coordinate with the finance team for vendor payments and account reconciliations.
- Look for opportunities to reduce costs and help improve margins.
Compensation
The position offers a monthly stipend/salary of INR 15,000 to INR 18,000.

This role is based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.
