Role Overview
We are seeking dedicated and detail-focused individuals to join our team in Abu Dhabi as Public Area Attendants. You will be a key contributor in ensuring that all public spaces such as lobbies, corridors, dining areas, restrooms, and function rooms are impeccably clean and welcoming. Your role directly enhances the guest experience by maintaining high standards of cleanliness and professional demeanor in all interactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Keep all public areas spotless through comprehensive cleaning practices including vacuuming, mopping, sanitizing, polishing, and surface wiping.
- Manage housekeeping inventory by restocking linens, cleaning materials, guest amenities, and chemicals to maintain sufficient supplies.
- Identify and promptly report any maintenance, safety issues, or equipment malfunctions to supervisors.
- Provide courteous, friendly, and professional service in all guest and colleague interactions.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols, especially in handling cleaning chemicals and equipment, to ensure a safe environment.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve daily cleaning targets and uphold departmental goals in a fast-paced setting.
Occupational Safety and Health Responsibilities
- Comply fully with Rixos Premium Saadiyat Island's Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) regulations and procedures.
- Take responsibility for your own health and safety, as well as that of others, by following safe work practices and not interfering with safety devices or controls.
- Report hazards, unsafe conditions, or incidents promptly and participate in related consultations and training.
- Properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) and stay familiar with emergency evacuation procedures.
Sustainability Commitments
- Implement departmental sustainability policies aligned with environmental, social and governance (ESG) objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Ensure compliance with environmental standard operating procedures (SOPs), monitor waste segregation, and optimize energy and water consumption practices.
- Identify opportunities for environmental improvements and report them to management.
- Support new colleagues with sustainability orientation and engage in hotel corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
