About the Role
Queensland Government is seeking a Project Support Officer (AO4) to join the Infrastructure Capability and Insights team in Brisbane. This position supports the modernisation of Queensland’s infrastructure planning through practical, data-informed project support, coordination and analysis. The role suits someone who is organised, proactive and focused on delivering high-quality outcomes that improve planning, reporting and decision-making across government.
You will work with experienced professionals in a collaborative team environment, contributing to infrastructure initiatives that strengthen capability, transparency and coordination. Your work will help ensure the right infrastructure is planned and delivered at the right time and in the right place for Queensland communities.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will provide project support across a range of infrastructure initiatives and assist with stakeholder consultation, research, data management and governance-related activities. You will also help maintain project systems, prepare reporting materials and support the delivery of practical business outcomes.
- Deliver project and administrative support for infrastructure programs and initiatives.
- Assist with stakeholder engagement and consultation involving government, industry, community and regional representatives.
- Prepare accurate reports, briefs, submissions and correspondence within required timeframes and governance standards.
- Maintain project tracking tools, reporting systems, datasets and information repositories.
- Identify improvements to business processes, reporting methods and system usability.
- Conduct targeted research and analysis to inform project decisions and outcomes.
- Support milestone tracking, risk monitoring and coordination tasks for complex initiatives.
- Coordinate records and information management to support transparency and accountability.
