Role Overview

Based in Jacksonville, FL, Star Catcher seeks a Project Manager to oversee the development of spacecraft focused on space-to-space power transmission and integration into the Star Catcher Network. The role involves managing project timelines, budgets, risk mitigation, coordination of interdisciplinary teams, stakeholder communication, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design comprehensive project schedules outlining timelines, milestones, and resource assignments.
• Liaise with executive leadership, engineers, and specialized personnel to ensure thorough project coverage.
• Develop and control project budgets for efficient resource utilization.
• Identify technical and non-technical risks and formulate mitigation strategies.
• Lead cross-functional teams fostering collaboration and effective communication.
• Serve as primary liaison to stakeholders including government bodies, investors, and international collaborators, managing expectations via regular updates.
• Ensure deliverables meet quality standards through rigorous testing and validation.
• Maintain compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry norms.
• Resolve issues arising during project execution promptly.
• Keep detailed records of project progress, decisions, and amendments; prepare reports for senior management and funding entities.
• Evaluate completed projects to derive insights and inform future initiatives.

Ideal Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Aerospace, or related discipline; advanced degrees preferred.
• Minimum five years of project management experience in aerospace, defense, or space sectors, especially with space missions or satellite systems.
• Practical familiarity with spacecraft design, satellite technology, or space mission operations.
• Demonstrated success leading multi-disciplinary teams and managing complex, stakeholder-rich projects.

• Expertise in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and resource allocation.
• Solid understanding of space systems and operational challenges in space technology.
• Strong analytical abilities to creatively solve technical problems and manage risks.

• Knowledge of space industry regulations and safety standards.
• Familiarity with NASA/DoD project lifecycle and technical reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR).
