Role Overview

Amazon is looking for a seasoned Program Manager to lead the scaling of its operations network through launching new facilities and expansion projects across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This position involves overseeing complex, prominent programs that influence customer experience, business growth, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the complete execution of network expansion and project launch initiatives, ensuring safety, timeliness, and budget adherence.
• Create detailed project plans, launch timetables, governance frameworks, and risk mitigation approaches for multiple simultaneous projects.
• Collaborate with teams across operations, engineering, finance, procurement, and real estate to define project requirements and ensure successful delivery.
• Manage relationships with external vendors, consultants, contractors, and service providers throughout project phases.
• Monitor project outcomes using data and metrics, identifying potential risks and implementing corrective measures as needed.
• Maintain clear, ongoing communication with stakeholders, reporting on project milestones, dependencies, financials, risks, and readiness for launch.
• Promote process standardization and continuous improvement to accelerate launch timelines, reduce expenses, and enhance scalability across markets.
• Contribute to strategic business activities including capital planning, budget forecasting, resource allocation, and long-term expansion planning.
• Perform site inspections and audits to assess project progress, operational readiness, quality control, and compliance standards.
• Develop scalable tools, procedures, and operating models to facilitate efficient execution of future expansion programs.

Typical Daily Activities

The Program Manager's focus revolves around ensuring successful delivery of expansion and launch projects to grow Amazon’s operational presence in KSA. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing milestones, coordinating stakeholders, mitigating risks, and tracking launch preparedness. The role requires close partnership with multiple teams and external vendors to ensure projects remain on track financially and timeline-wise. Continuous performance analysis and process enhancements will be part of the routine, along with frequent reporting to senior leadership.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance, or a related technical/quantitative field.
• At least 5 years of experience in program or project management.
• Minimum 3 years managing cross-functional projects.
• Proficient in defining program requirements and leveraging data and metrics to drive improvements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Experience in procurement organizations including vendor management, contract negotiations, and complex purchasing.
