Role Overview
The Production Sanitation Technician is essential for ensuring a sanitary, orderly production environment at our Fairlife facility located in Peterborough, Ontario. This role involves routine cleaning and sanitizing of critical facility areas such as floors, walls, doors, drains, and shared workspaces to facilitate safe, efficient manufacturing operations. The position also includes supporting daily plant activities by managing waste removal, replenishing sanitation supplies, and upholding cleanliness standards throughout the site. Candidates must be attentive to detail, flexible, and responsive to evolving operational demands while strictly following company safety, sanitation, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Key Responsibilities
- Thoroughly clean and sanitize production area floors, walls, doors, drains, and workspaces.
- Remove garbage and recycling wastes from production zones and common areas.
- Maintain adequate stock of cleaning and sanitation materials.
- Ensure overall facility cleanliness and organization.
- Adhere to company sanitation, safety, and GMP protocols.
- Respond promptly to sanitation requirements across various plant locations.
- Help maintain a work environment that is safe and inspection-ready.
- Report any safety, maintenance, or sanitation issues to leadership promptly.
Qualification and Physical Requirements
- Minimum education of High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Physical capacity to bend, lift, twist, and work at heights and in extreme temperatures.
- Manual dexterity with capability for precise hand and finger movements.
- Ability to stand and walk for long durations during 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts as needed.
- Work cooperatively within a team setting and conform to safety standards while meeting quality and cost goals.
