Role Overview

The Production Engineer is responsible for managing all aspects of production operations including manpower, equipment, inventory, and processes on the production floor. This role ensures that projects are delivered promptly, quality standards are met, and health, safety, and environmental (HSE) practices are rigorously followed.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Production Manager in planning and executing water treatment and chemical production projects.
• Create and maintain detailed weekly and monthly production plans and schedules.
• Participate in project kick-off meetings and coordinate material requirements, including raising requisitions and managing bills of materials (BOM).
• Oversee production inventory control to minimize waste and ensure adequate materials availability.
• Ensure timely delivery of production outputs as committed to project schedules.
• Conduct factory testing, inspect for compliance with engineering specifications, and implement necessary corrections.
• Generate production reports and keep the Production Manager informed.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives for production processes and facilities.
• Provide technical guidance on production-related design issues by reviewing P&IDs and technical documentation.
• Train and mentor production and service technicians to enhance workforce capability.
• Support site installation and commissioning activities as necessary.
• Maintain strict adherence to quality standards, reducing errors and rework in production.
• Promote a safe, clean, and efficient work environment, ensuring compliance with company HSE policies and procedures.
• Enhance staff and resource productivity.
• Ensure all ERP system entries are current and accurate.
• Manage maintenance of equipment, tools, and machinery.
• Complete all required documentation in line with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Production Manager or management team.
• The role requires frequent presence on the production floor and occasional site visits, which may involve working under challenging conditions such as heat or marine environments.

Candidate Profile

• Demonstrates the highest levels of personal integrity and professional conduct.
• Self-driven with a proactive and positive work ethic.
• Holds a Mechanical Engineering degree or diploma from a recognized institution.
• Possesses 4 to 5 years of experience in production planning and control (PPC) related to custom manufacturing and assembly of water treatment systems.
• Experienced in fabrication industry operations.
• Proficient in supervision and coaching of production staff.
• Strong background in production planning and control methodologies.
• Familiar with fabrication elements such as spools, skids, tanks, and vessels.
• Basic understanding of assembly and construction techniques for water treatment systems.
• Advanced skills in PPC software modules, particularly SAP and ERP systems, along with expert-level capability in advanced Excel functions.
• Possession of a valid UAE driving license.
