At EY GDS, within the Business Consulting Supply Chain & Operations segment, the Procurement Operations team seeks a Consultant to aid in processing procurement transactions and analyzing foundational spend for global clients.

Core Responsibilities

• Undertake spend data extraction and generate reports or dashboards leveraging Excel, BI tools, or Power BI.
• Categorize expenditure, ensure accuracy of codes, and detect off-catalog or non-compliant procurement.
• Assist senior staff in crafting spend insights to enhance sourcing strategies, compliance, and purchasing channel efficiency.
• Identify regular spot purchases that could be shifted to catalog-based procurement.
• Examine spend trends and anomalies to reveal optimization opportunities.
• Create and manage dashboards for actionable insights to stakeholders.
• Spot cost savings and value enhancement options such as demand consolidation and sourcing improvements.
• Highlight areas of leakage including off-contract and maverick buys.
• Support category and sourcing teams by providing data-driven strategic insights.
• Maintain data accuracy and timely reporting in line with SLA commitments.
• Collaborate across functions including requestors, suppliers, and finance to resolve routine queries.
• Assist in managing procurement helpdesk level-1 queries and guide issue escalation.
• Ensure adherence to procurement policies, workflows, and audit standards.
• Contribute to the upkeep of procedures, SOPs, and process documentation.
• Engage in BPO delivery tasks supporting continuous improvement and compliance.
• Facilitate transition activities such as documentation prep, knowledge transfer through job shadowing, and post-launch hypercare by resolving initial issues.

Qualifications and Attributes

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, commerce, engineering, or related discipline.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in procurement operations, shared services, or supply chain roles.
• Fundamental knowledge of procurement processes including PR to PO workflows and supplier data management.
• Experience with ERP or procurement software such as SAP, Ariba, Coupa, GEP, or MS Dynamics is beneficial.
• Detail-oriented with strong data entry discipline and good command of Excel functions like VLOOKUP and PivotTables.
• Effective communication skills and readiness to coordinate with global stakeholders.
• Eager to learn, proactive, and able to operate efficiently in a fast-paced, SLA-driven environment.
