Role overview
Cainiao Group is looking for a Procurement Specialist to manage sourcing activities for its overseas warehouse operation in Frankfurt, Germany. The role focuses on procurement for warehouse equipment, packaging supplies, and locally sourced services that support day-to-day logistics operations.
Key responsibilities
- Own the full procurement cycle for assigned product and service categories at the Frankfurt overseas warehouse, covering items such as shelving, forklifts, WMS systems, cardboard boxes, bubble wrap, labels, warehouse outsourcing, maintenance, cleaning, and security.
- Source, assess, and develop dependable local supplier networks while building long-term working relationships.
- Handle negotiations, agreement finalization, and follow-through on contract performance to secure competitive costs, consistent quality, and timely supply.
- Work closely with operations, finance, and legal teams to complete compliance checks and manage procurement-related risks.
- Prepare periodic procurement analysis reports to help guide business decisions and budget planning.
- Contribute to local procurement strategy and support cost-saving and efficiency-improvement initiatives.
Required profile
- A bachelor’s degree or higher is preferred, especially in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Trade, or a similar discipline.
- At least 1 year of experience in procurement or logistics is required; e-commerce or cross-border logistics exposure is an advantage.
- Strong written and spoken English and Chinese are required; German proficiency will be considered a plus.
- Good understanding of the German market, relevant laws and regulations, and standard business practices.
- Solid negotiation ability, data analysis capability, and experience working across departments.
- A careful, accountable approach and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-moving environment.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office; experience with ERP tools is beneficial.
