About the Role
Arkan Marketing is seeking a dedicated Pricing Specialist to oversee product pricing strategies for both their retail and online sales channels. This role is crucial for maintaining a competitive edge and ensuring profitability by analyzing supplier expenses, tracking competitor pricing, and verifying the accuracy of online price displays. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the fashion or luxury retail sector and a keen understanding of how pricing impacts brand perception and sales performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Determine product pricing by considering supplier costs, desired profit margins, and market standing.
- Continuously monitor competitor pricing on fashion and luxury retail platforms, suggesting necessary adjustments.
- Track profit margins for different product categories and analyze consumer behavior to understand the influence of pricing on purchasing decisions and average order value.
- Ensure all prices listed on the company website are accurate, consistent, and updated promptly.
- Collaborate with buying, finance, and e-commerce departments regarding pricing modifications, promotional activities, and markdowns.
- Generate regular pricing reports, presenting insights and potential opportunities to management.
Qualifications
- Possess a Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a similar discipline.
- Accumulate 2 to 4 years of professional experience in pricing, commercial operations, or retail management.
- Demonstrate prior experience within the fashion, luxury, or e-commerce retail industries, with a solid grasp of luxury brand positioning and its relation to pricing.
- Exhibit strong analytical capabilities, including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Have experience with e-commerce platforms like Shopify.
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail and the capacity to manage substantial product data.
- Possess effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with various teams.
