About the Role

Join a reputable international school based in East Legon Hills, Greater Accra Region, Ghana, as the Preschool Head. This leadership position involves managing all aspects of preschool education, ensuring excellence in teaching, learning, and child development within a secure and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide effective leadership and vision to the preschool, maintaining high-quality standards in teaching and learning.
  • Coordinate and oversee the creation and delivery of an engaging, age-appropriate preschool curriculum.
  • Maintain a safe, stimulating atmosphere conducive to early childhood growth.
  • Support and mentor teaching staff to uphold exemplary classroom practices.
  • Track and assess children's developmental progress with robust evaluation and reporting systems.
  • Foster positive communication and relationship-building with parents and guardians.
  • Ensure full adherence to regulatory frameworks and safeguarding policies.
  • Manage daily preschool operations including scheduling and resource management.
  • Organize and facilitate professional development and training programs for staff members.
  • Represent and promote the school's vision, values, and reputation throughout the community.

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field; a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Development is advantageous.
  • Between 3 to 5 years of leadership experience within a preschool setting.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of early years curriculum and current best educational practices.
  • Outstanding communication, organizational, and leadership capabilities.
  • Deep commitment and enthusiasm for child development and early learning.
