Role Overview
We seek a meticulous podcast editor with a passion for storytelling and audio-visual production to join our remote team. This role involves refining episodes centered on millennial life experiences—ranging across themes like dating, family, careers, and health. Episodes last from 40 to 60 minutes and incorporate 1 to 3 camera views. This fully remote contract position offers flexible working conditions and the chance to enhance a podcast that connects with a broad audience. Your skills will be pivotal in uplifting episode quality and enabling the host to concentrate on delivering compelling content and engaging listeners.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit both audio and video parts of podcast episodes using DaVinci Resolve, ensuring seamless transitions and professional sound standards.
- Perform basic color correction and grading on video segments for uniform, polished visuals.
- Handle multiple camera angles, synchronizing audio and video components effectively.
- Produce final episode files in specified formats and meet deadlines reliably.
- Work closely with the podcast host to implement feedback while preserving the show's signature tone and style.
Qualifications and Expertise Required
- Strong command of DaVinci Resolve for editing audio and video content.
- Previous experience with podcast or extended format content editing.
- High attention to detail to provide clean and captivating edits.
- Understanding of basic video color grading techniques.
- Competence in synchronizing multiple camera angle footage and audio tracks.
- Excellent communication and responsiveness to collaborative feedback.
- Dependable internet connectivity and capability to perform tasks remotely.
- Consistency in availability to edit episodes on an ongoing schedule.
