Job Overview
The Plant Head is responsible for formulating, leading, and supervising the operational policies, initiatives, and objectives of the company. This role involves steering both short- and long-term strategies by applying insightful judgment, visionary leadership, and strong management skills to ensure successful execution across various departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and communicate business objectives to teams in Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain Management.
- Set annual business targets and regularly monitor achievement through monthly, quarterly, and annual reviews.
- Drive critical strategic projects supporting the company's goals.
- Develop Annual Operating Plans by integrating TAFC business strategies into Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain functions.
- Allocate resources effectively across business functions to meet planned objectives.
- Evaluate performance of departments against set targets.
- Continuously research and benchmark best practices and current developments in pharmaceutical packaging.
- Understand client and brand requirements to manage customer relationships efficiently.
- Coordinate with the Global Supply Chain Head to ensure timely procurement of raw materials and key components.
- Oversee implementation and progress of strategic initiatives such as global manufacturing standardization, differentiated customer experience, and nutraceutical market expansion, reporting regularly to the Board.
- Ensure full compliance with Corporate Governance standards and legal regulations enforced by government authorities.
- Manage and rectify major operational deviations with prompt corrective measures.
- Ensure adherence and advancement of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) aligned with global quality standards.
- Lead automation and digital transformation projects to enhance manufacturing efficiency following Industry 4.0 principles.
- Implement state-of-the-art technology upgrades to maintain cutting-edge operations.
- Apply modern operational and manufacturing management methods to achieve world-class performance.
- Promote productivity, cost-effectiveness, quality assurance, on-time delivery, and safety standards actively.
- Foster and maintain a strong safety culture within the organization.
- Encourage collaboration among cross-functional teams promoting continuous improvement through Kaizen and group initiatives.
- Ensure consistent reporting of operational metrics, compliance, and management information systems to the Head of Sales & Operations.
- Lead people development efforts by nurturing talent, enabling skill growth, and preparing associates for future leadership roles.
- Instill a performance-oriented culture through persistent monitoring, feedback, and performance management.
- Engage actively with HR programs that enhance employee motivation, retention, and recruitment of qualified talent.
