About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Planning Engineer specialized in Oil & Gas EPC projects to join our team in Qatar. This position is ideal for professionals with 10–15 years of relevant experience who are capable of developing and managing comprehensive project plans, monitoring progress, and ensuring project delivery safety, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain detailed project schedules specifically for Oil & Gas EPC ventures.
- Continuously track project progress to identify potential scheduling risks and challenges.
- Produce regular reports, including daily, weekly, and monthly updates on project status.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, engineering teams, and onsite personnel to facilitate smooth operations.
- Monitor and ensure key milestone achievements happen within planned timeframes.
- Conduct schedule analysis and devise recovery tactics when schedules deviate.
- Develop forward-looking schedules incorporating resource allocations.
- Participate actively in project planning meetings and client progress evaluations.
- Ensure all planning activities comply with project specifications and organizational standards.
- Utilize planning software such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project effectively.
Qualifications
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Have 10 to 15 years of experience working as a Planning Engineer on Oil & Gas EPC projects.
- Experience within the GCC region is highly advantageous.
- Strong expertise in project planning, schedule management, and progress tracking.
- Proficient in Primavera P6; familiarity with MS Project is a plus.
- Comprehensive understanding of the EPC project lifecycle.
- Excellent analytical abilities paired with effective problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and cooperation skills to work efficiently within teams.
- Capability to perform well under fast-paced and dynamic project environments.
