Position Overview
The Planning Engineer role ensures that all planning and scheduling activities conform strictly to the organization's policies and procedures.
Primary Duties
- Develop and oversee detailed schedules for project proposals and their execution phases.
- Allocate resources effectively to maintain accurate schedule progress tracking.
- Incorporate and monitor the performance of third-party scheduling tasks.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Procurement teams to guarantee timely availability of drawings and materials essential for schedule adherence.
- Generate manpower forecasts that align with schedule requirements.
- Create comprehensive schedule look-ahead reports to anticipate upcoming tasks.
- Conduct impact analyses on schedule changes due to growth proposals.
- Develop detailed metrics to evaluate schedule performance and implement tracking and audit mechanisms for schedule progress.
- Act as the planning department’s representative in integrated work team meetings.
