Position Overview
Bolton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking recently qualified or newly qualified Physiotherapists who are interested in beginning their professional career within the NHS. The role involves a comprehensive rotation across various physiotherapy specializations, including musculoskeletal outpatients, acute medicine, complex care, surgery and critical care, orthopaedics, inpatient and community stroke, neuro rehabilitation, pelvic health, paediatric inpatient and musculoskeletal care, community therapies, admission avoidance, home first, and residential intermediate care.
Support and Supervision
Successful candidates will receive guidance and mentoring from specialist physiotherapists in their respective areas of practice. Regular supervision will be provided consistent with the Trust's appraisal policies and Allied Health Professionals supervision guidelines. The organization values the transition from student to autonomous practitioner and facilitates this process through a structured Preceptorship programme designed to provide a smooth and supportive progression.
Working Conditions and Expectations
Candidates must be willing to work flexible hours to accommodate service demands, including extended shifts, weekends, and participation in the respiratory on-call rota after meeting competency requirements. The Trust operates within a ‘Good’ rated district general hospital known for delivering high-quality, responsive, patient-focused care to the community.
