About the Company and Role
IIQAF Group, based in Sydney, Australia, operates within the hospital and healthcare sector. They are currently seeking a dedicated Personal Care Assistant to join their team in providing support to patients in clinical and aged care settings. This full-time position offers an annual salary ranging from AUD 76,000 to AUD 80,000.
Primary Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, high-quality personal and patient care.
- Assist patients with personal hygiene tasks including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support patient mobility, facilitate transfers, and ensure safe handling procedures.
- Observe and report any changes in patients' health status promptly.
- Help with feeding and other daily living activities to promote patient comfort.
- Respect patient dignity, comfort, and privacy consistently.
- Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare professionals by supporting daily operational tasks.
- Adhere strictly to infection control protocols and hospital safety guidelines.
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of patient care activities.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Possession of a Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, or Health Services is preferred.
- Prior experience in a hospital, aged care facility, or clinical environment is advantageous.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare teams.
- A compassionate nature focused on patient wellbeing.
- Willingness and ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends if necessary.
- Familiarity with Australian healthcare standards is a plus.
