Job description
Position Overview
We are looking for a Payroll Specialist to manage comprehensive payroll operations across all regions including Americas, EMEA, and APAC within a rapidly expanding company. This role ensures accurate documentation, punctual execution, and completion of payroll transactions. It also contributes to enhancing streamlined, cost-effective payroll procedures and the integration of employees from newly acquired businesses.
Primary Duties
- Guarantee timely and precise payroll payments for employees in multiple international locations while maintaining synchronization between HR and payroll records.
- Collaborate closely with Human Resources to assure accurate entry of employee data, benefits, pay details, and other payroll-related changes into the system.
- Generate and document payroll journal entries in the general ledger.
- Investigate and reconcile payroll discrepancies with the accounting team to confirm correct payroll postings in the enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.
- Audit timesheets and payroll reports, manage payroll period deadlines, and conduct payroll processing accurately and on schedule.
- Support the upkeep of country-specific payroll policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Promptly address and resolve all payroll-related inquiries and requests.
Required Experience and Skills
- Minimum of three years of full-cycle payroll processing experience with a global perspective and oversight of third-party international payroll providers.
- Proficiency or experience with Workday Payroll is strongly preferred, including capabilities in payroll workflows, reporting, and employee data management.
- Experience with general ledger functions and solid understanding of fundamental accounting principles.
- Knowledge of internal controls and stringent attention to legal compliance within payroll activities.
- Strong analytical skills paired with effective problem-solving abilities.
- Superior organization, time management, and multitasking skills to thrive in a dynamic global context, including willingness to work additional hours to meet objectives.
- Excellent communication skills—written, verbal, and interpersonal—and familiar with payroll software, accounting systems, Microsoft Office suite, and human resource information systems (HRIS).
