Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Payroll Specialist to join a professional services firm based in South Dublin. This role is primarily onsite with potential for hybrid work after successfully completing a six-month probation. The position involves providing comprehensive payroll services for a variety of clients across multiple sectors within a busy payroll bureau.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle full payroll processing for a range of bureau clients
- Calculate wages, salaries, overtime, statutory payments, and deductions accurately
- Keep payroll records updated including new hires, departures, and employee changes
- Ensure compliance with Irish Revenue regulations including PAYE Modernisation
- Prepare and submit payroll filings and statutory returns as required
- Respond promptly and professionally to client and employee payroll inquiries
- Reconcile payroll outputs, resolve any inconsistencies, and assist with audit processes
- Create customized payroll reports to meet client specifications
- Collaborate closely with senior payroll and tax teams to maintain compliance and quality
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience working within a payroll bureau setting (mandatory)
- In-depth knowledge of Irish payroll laws and PAYE Modernisation
- IPASS certification or ongoing progress toward obtaining it
- Familiarity with payroll software such as Sage Payroll and strong proficiency in Excel
- Exceptional accuracy and meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize workload effectively and meet multiple deadlines
- Excellent communication skills and client interaction capabilities
