Role Summary
As a Payroll Coordinator, you will oversee the full employment lifecycle of Safeguard Global’s workers within the EMEA region. Key duties focus on resolving payroll queries, ensuring compliant and efficient payroll processing for our clients, coordinating with both internal teams and external partners, managing sales invoice generation, and guaranteeing timely and correct payments to workers.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the complete payroll process for employees after onboarding.
- Stay well-informed of company payroll guidelines and government payroll regulations.
- Process payroll accurately and promptly.
- Investigate discrepancies in payroll reports and ensure corrections to maintain balance.
- Review and approve payroll reports against client and internal data.
- Maintain payroll schedules, key performance indicators, and payroll data records regularly.
- Liaise with clients to understand and convey country-specific payroll requirements throughout worker employment.
- Ensure employee records are current and accurate before payroll runs.
- Serve as the primary contact for payroll-related queries from workers.
- Oversee funding and billing for payroll, including charge sheet completion and invoice generation.
- Manage document retention for workers in adherence to compliance and record-keeping standards.
- Handle employment contract changes such as salary adjustments and benefits updates post-onboarding.
- Respond promptly to queries from workers, internal teams, and clients.
- Conduct compliant offboarding for all workers, whether on fixed-term or indefinite contracts.
- Ensure background checks are completed as required before processing the first payroll.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least two to three years of relevant payroll experience.
- Solid understanding of payroll principles and local legislation for supported countries.
- Strong communication skills in English and local languages, both oral and written.
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities with close attention to detail and analytical thinking.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
